Storing rainwater and utilizing greywater (generated from domestic activities like bathing and laundry) is an excellent and alternative way to water plants and keep the lawn green while simultaneously making an effort to ‘go green’. Rain tanks can be used to store rain water and then later used to water plant life. Greywater can be irrigated through landscapes for the same purpose. Utilizing a natural resource and recycling water is a great way to green up a home!
