Bio of Sara Allan
I have been interested in the environment ever since an amazing elementary school science teacher and an eye-opening trip to the Galapagos Islands. As Co-Founder and Co-Head of The Environmental Board at my school, I have helped raise awareness and implement projects about sustainability. We have worked with the Green Schools Alliance (G.S.A., www.GreenSchoolsAlliance.org), ever since their founding in 2007, and I am now a National Student Coordinator and the Director of Social Media. In January 2011, I started my blog, The Green, as a senior independent project with the goal of immersing myself in the environmental field. As I continue my education at The University of Pennsylvania in the fall, I am eager to make a contribution to the evolving field of environmental sustainability.
